A fantastic Journey through a fantastic Land.
ICELAND 63° 66° N is not a film which simply describes the land in the tried and tested manner of a travel documentary by dealing with one place of interest after the other.
This film is intended to make the mystique, the soul and depths of the land tangible and perceptible. Long, continuous sequences with hardly any discernable, unexpected cross-fading give the viewer the opportunity to get caught up with the images in complete calm.
In a finely balanced relationship between emotional, epically poetic and informative, and not too scientific scenes, the film adds up to an entertaining audio-visual experience – exciting, informative, poetic and very personal.
Optimally chosen music, in which the voice of Stefan Erdmann is overlay, interchanges with the original soundtrack of nature and so provides perfect harmony between images and sounds.
