‘It was love at first sight and it became ever more intensive and interesting with every new encounter. After I had visited Iceland for the first time, I collected everything I could about the island, from illustrated books to travel guides. I searched the Internet every day for reports on the experiences of other travellers and Iceland enthusi-asts. I bought every available DVD, no TV documentary passed me by, and I visited many multi-vision shows about Iceland.
‘There are several very good films about Iceland, but none of them touched me, even though Iceland touched me from my very first encounter to the depths of my soul.
The decision to make my own film was the logical consequence for me, and the aspiring demands of making one’s own film – from my critique of the films I have seen up to now – are extremely high.
‘My goal is to bring my passion for Iceland closer to the viewer with ICELAND 63° 66° N, to touch the viewer, and at the same time to provide him with information and to awaken his curiosity.
‘The film is one hundred percent an affair of the heart. It should be the best and most beautiful film about Iceland ever!’
